Ohio Hispanic Legislative Visit Day

The Ohio Hispanic Legislative Visit Day is a major part of the Commission's strategy in expanding the participation of our constituents and expanding their ability to make well-informed decisions in regards to civic engagement.

Nonprofit leaders, community advocates, and Hispanic business leaders come together for a day filled with meetings with Ohio legislators, and practical instruction on state government and the means to access it. There is also an opportunity during the lunch hour for exhibitors, legislators, community leaders, and constituents to network and establish constructive connections across the state of Ohio. OCHLA's Legislative Visit Day typically takes place at the Ohio Statehouse and Hispanic media outlets from all over the state cover the event each year.
